Avery’s Surgery Prayer

An amazingly beautiful sight! Avery holding her dad's finger with both hands! 9-2-10

Dear Heavenly Father, please look down on your baby Avery tonight and infuse her with divine peace.  Give her strength and healing energy as she goes in for surgery tomorrow morning (9:00-10:30am).  Lord, we ask that you keep your little lamb safe from harm.  We ask that you guide her Doctors, Anesthesiologists, and Nurses in your infinite wisdom and love, and safeguard this precious child.

Please give peace to our family as we wait and trust in your will.  May the universe surround us and fill us with healing loving energy and light. Comfort us and protect our child.  Our prayer is for her highest good, so that she might become a shining beacon of light, love, and hope for those struggling or suffering throughout all time.

Thank you Lord for the gifts you offer and for the promises you keep. Thank you for each day we have with our children and each miracle you give.

May you let this child face, without pain, the surgery she must have.  Help her to get through this demanding time rapidly and with Sienna Grace  offering her comfort by holding her tiny hand.  Give her the strength to face what she must, knowing through her infinite soul that you, Holy Father, are with her, holding her close, and know her every need.

Let her time of sickness come to an end and let her get well to live a wondrous and healthy life here on earth, as children should, laughing and playing in the sun.  Let the memory of this time, become faint enough in our mind to experience true joy, yet fresh enough to allow us to live fully in every breath as you have intended.

Tomorrow as she beautifully conquers this challenge, may she move forward in your love and bring hope and deepened faith to this world.   May it be your will that we be honored by her presence throughout our lives.  May it be your divine plan that we are able to know her, love her, and share her as the miracle that she is.

We humbly pray for the end of suffering for Avery, all babies, all children, and all living beings. We ask this all in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  Amen.

I just read yesterday and today’s entries on your blog, and again I am crying with you. Quin, through all of the ups and downs your birthday photo of you and Avery is such a special gift. All of the scrubbing and being draped in sterile gowns is definitely worth the hassle when they let you hold your baby in the NICU, maybe you couldn’t touch Avery’s skin but you definitely touched her heart (what a beautiful gift) for you from your beautiful girl. I’ve always know Robin to be a special girl with a lot of love to share and this experience is living proof.
I have a friend who works for AT&T in Pittsburgh, she is wearing a warrior band and people in her office have added all of you to their prayer chains and prayer lists in their churches. I will be praying for good results from tomorrow’s surgery and I believe it will be the words you want to hear. I still stop what I’m doing when I look at the warrior band and say a small prayer for Avery, as well as 10 am and 10pm. Jesus Loves You (ALL).
