Day 100 – Part 1

Exciting news!    Quin and I will be meeting with a therapist this morning at the NICU to feed Avery from a bottle!    And, she will be having her first “room air challenge” today as well (her first attempt at NO nasal cannula or oxygen support).   Two HUGE steps that happen to fall on her 100th day of miraculous life.   Ironically, today is also the day that I had prayed for since the day the girls were conceived that I would go into labor.   If she succeeds in both, we are getting very close to having ALL of the wires and tubes off of her face.  What joy that will be for us all!

We are so proud of her strength and perseverance and will post an update soon.

More happy tears for Aunt Diane, I am so happy for you and so proud of Avery Rose. She is lucky to have those magical shoes, but I’m pretty sure it is mommy and daddy’s love that made her do so well on her challenges and that is why she passed with flying colors. I love that her miracle hat is tight, sure sign that she is growing! I remember when Brooke had her first bottle it was a momentous event to say the least. God bless you all and keep up the good work!! Love you all!!
